IT operations software for building societies, credit unions and regulated firms
When the auditors ask how you know last night’s backups ran, or what you did about a critical vendor advisory, the answer shouldn’t be a spreadsheet and someone’s memory. Pitlamp gives a small IT team a dated record of every daily check, every follow-up and every end-of-support date, in one place, hosted in the UK.
30 days free. No payment details needed. £9.99 per user per month after that.
The questions small regulated IT teams get asked
Were the checks done?
Boards, internal audit and regulators expect evidence that routine IT controls run every day, not a promise that they do.
What happened when one failed?
A failed backup or alert is only half the story. They want to see who picked it up, what was done and when it was closed.
Are you running anything out of support?
End-of-support software and unpatched critical vulnerabilities come up in every IT risk review. You need to know before they ask.
A dated record of every daily check
Build your daily, weekly or monthly checklists once. Each run is saved with who checked what, when, the result and any evidence.
- Pass, fail or skip each check, with a comment or a screenshot as evidence
- Make notes or evidence required, always or only when a check fails
- A full history of every run, ready for a review or an audit
- Link each check to the runbook in your knowledge base, so cover staff do it the same way

Every failure followed through to the fix
A failed check becomes a card on your Kanban board, with an owner, until it’s resolved. The checklist shows the issue is still open.
- Nothing fails quietly and is forgotten the next day
- Comments, attachments and a resolution note record what was done
- An audit log records every change, sign-in and export, and can’t be edited

Know what’s out of support, and what’s urgent
Follow the vendors you actually run. Pitlamp collects their end-of-support dates and security advisories, ranked by severity, so you can show you’re on top of them.
- End-of-support dates for Windows Server, SQL Server, VMware, Veeam and hundreds more products
- Security advisories from vendors, CISA’s known exploited vulnerabilities and the NCSC
- Urgent items can become Kanban cards automatically, so each has an owner
- Vendor outage and maintenance notices in the same place

Renewals that don’t catch you out
Track SSL certificates, licences, support contracts, domains and warranties, with reminders by email or on your board well before each one expires.
- Reminders 90, 30, 14, 7 and 1 days before by default, and a card 30 days out
- Record the renewal and the reminders reset for the new date
- Owners and costs in one list, ready for budget planning

Reports for managers and committees
Build a report over any period, covering checklist results, failed checks and their follow-up, security updates and outages. Print it or save it as a PDF, or download the figures as CSV.
- Two ready-made reports: a management overview and detailed activity
- Choose the sections and the date range
- Managers and admins can view and export the audit log

Questions from regulated firms
Does Pitlamp make us compliant?
No software can do that on its own. Pitlamp helps you run your routine IT controls consistently and gives you the evidence that they ran and that problems were followed up. How that fits your own policies and obligations is for your firm to decide.
Is Pitlamp only for financial services?
No. Any small IT team can use it. It suits building societies, credit unions, brokers and other regulated or audited organisations particularly well, because they need to show their checks happen, not just do them.
Where is our data held?
In Microsoft Azure’s UK South region, in London. Our data processing agreement lists every provider involved and the security measures in place.
Can we see the terms before we start a trial?
Yes. Our customer terms, data processing agreement and privacy policy are all published. Email us if your organisation needs a signed copy of the data processing agreement for its supplier file.
Does Pitlamp need access to our network?
No. Pitlamp doesn’t install agents or connect to your systems. Your team records the checks, and Pitlamp collects vendor information from public sources, so there’s nothing to install or open up on your network.
How much does it cost?
£9.99 per user per month, excluding VAT, with every feature included and no minimum number of users. A team of four pays £39.96 a month. Try it free for 30 days first.
